PATRIOTIC WORK.
TRANSPORT LITERATURE, Writes G. T. Brown, 28th Reinforcements::— To the secretary, New Plymouth Women's Patriotic League. We have to acknowledge with thanks the receipt of two cases of literature and three cases of gifts 'from your League for the use of the troops on board. The literature, along with similar gifts, have gone to form a free circulating library for the men, which is being largely used and much appreciated. The gifts are being distributed to the Taranaki men on board, and the gramaphone Is heing presented to the Company containing'the largest number of men from your district. We trust this disposal of the gifts will he acceptable to the donors. There is no special Taranaki Company on board. Again accept out warmest thanks for your thoughtful kindness.
