TARANAKI COURSING CLUB.
SUCCESSFUL DAY'S SPORT. i The action of the coursing club in deciding to complete their maiden stakes in the open at OI:ato was fully justified hy results, for a splendid day's sport eventuated. Hares were numerous and i strong ,aud gave the dogs some good runs. There were only two kills throughout the day, the final run providing a very clever kill after a great course. Practically all the winning dogs hailed from Wanganui, and Mr. Hannan, on behalf of the visitors, expressed himself as delighted with the entertainment provided. So pleased were they with the hares, that they decided to endeavor to nut aouiQ, and, spending Friday down the coast, succeeded in capturing six. The coursing took place on the beach properties, to the owners of which the club extend their thanks. There was a good attendance of speetators. Mr. J. Jenkiiwon as judga and Mr. A.
