SOCIETY NEWS. 'Sale of Raffia Work.—Last Tuesday I aftciTiocn. Mrs. P,. C. Hughes held a mo-t successful sale of Pallia work at her lovely residence, in aid of the British lied Cross, but owing to the inclemency of the weather, the afternoon's activities had to be confined to the house, and therefore- the visitors mi.-.-.ed all the dories (,; (lie beautiful garden.
