AUSTRIAN REPRISALS. VENICE BOMBED. ' Received Aug. 16, 8 p.m. Rome, Aug. 15. A group of enemy aeroplanes bombed Venice at daybreak on Tuesday. A bomb fell on the hospital, killing two and wounding twenty-one patients. The material damage was slight. The antiaircraft guns downed several raiders. An Italian air squadron immediately carried out reprisals, and successfully bombarded the enemy's coast and- a group of Austrian destroyers. The machines returned safely. Received Aug. IC, 10.10 p.m. London, Aug. 10. Wireless Austrian official: As a reprisal for the aerial attack on Tola, numerous aeroplanes attacked the raaritimc arsenal at Venice successfully, und dropped four tons of bombs. They ohI served good hits, conflagrations following. Three machines are missing.
