GENERAL MEETING. A general meeting of the No# Ply- j mouth Pierrots 'was held in the Soldiers' | Chib on Tuesday night, Mr. J. MeLeod I presiding. An apology was received for | the absence of the president. Mr. 11. | Brookman, and a vote of sympathy with g him in his illness was passed. J The treasurer, .Mr. J. IT. Fowler, read | a balance-sheet showing that the -unount I on hand was ;CIS2 !)s 7d, hut there wera oevernl matters outstanding, and it was hoped to make the amount up to £2OO. The sum of £IOOO had been handed to tho Patriotic Committee and £2 r i to tho Red Gross Koeiety. If, as it win hoped, tho balance 011 hand was increased to £2OO, that sum would be available for the Patriotic Committee, making the total for that organisation £IBOO. Ho wished to add that the balantc-sheet was not yet quite' complete; when it was. lie would publish the full details in tho local papers. The chairman moved the adoption of tlu> interim balance-sheet, expressing the opinion that it was very creditable im deetl, the results being very much better than had been expected. He mentioned that the Patriotic Committee bad handed over £SOB of the amount reeehed by them to Airs. Burgess's committee.
