Madrid, Aug. 14. The strike has assumed the character of a general movement with (Revolutionary tendency. The calling up of reservist.; was authorised in order to prepare for emergencies. Disturbances are reported at various points, hut all is quiat in the* capital.

London, August 14. Telagrams from Spain indicate that many were wounded in collisions between -th? strikers and soldiers at Madrid,
DISORDERS <mWUE. Received Aug. 15, oJS p.m. Madrid, Aug. 14. The streets are thronged with strikers and convicts are occurring with soldiers in the principal thoroughfares of Madrid. Calm baa been restored at Barcelona, but there is much trouble and numerous arrests at Saragossa,
