The £3OO exemption disappears at £9OO income., but for the assessment of the war tax the full £4OO exemption continues throughout the scale. The super tax alao follows the war tax system as assessment und is 50 per cent, of the war tax amounts. Taxation under the new scale has been worked out (says a special to the Auckland Star) as follows:
