WELLINGTON FARMERS' MEAT • . COMPANY. Masterton, August S. Tlio animal meeting of shareholders of Mil' Wellington Farmers' Meat Company was held to-day. Tlic chairman of directors, in referring to tlie report and bal-nnee-slieet, dealt at length with the circumstances which had reduced the turnover for the year. Me pointed out that the company was in an excellent position to deal with the turnover of the :oming season. On the motion of Mr. R. D. M'Kenzie the following resolution was carried:— "That this meeing resents in the strongest terms possihle the action of the Oopei'iimont in closing the company's fellnicngery business, which waa an injustice to the settlers, the shareholders, and the townspeople." Some discussion took place ■upon the operations of the Meat Trust, but the chairman pointed out that it was undeeirablc at this stage to pass any resolution -which would embarass the Government.
