COURSING.

TARAXAKI PLUMPTOX CLUB. A largely attended meeting of the committee of the Taranaki Plunipton Coursing Club was held at the Royal Hotel on Thursday evening to make final arrangements for the meeting to be held next Wednesday and Thursday (August 15 and Hi) at Clcuavon. Mr. .). Jenkinson was elected judge, and Mr. F. Doughty was appointed slipper. It was reported that the hares received from tile South Island were in splendid condition, and were now being trained. The draw takes place at the Royal Hotel on Tuesday evening at 8 o'clock. It was decided to hold an open stake in connection with the meeting, in which it is more than likely several well-known Now Zealand champions will compete.
