' Tlic Patriotic Bazaar and Dance hold in the Tarata Hall on July -2(J proved to be a huge success, although the night turned"out a wet one, the hall being crowded, many coming from In- ■ giewood, Kaimata and Purangi. 'The hot Aifa lighting system installed in tho hall by Mr. Xewtou King gave every satisfaction and was very favorably commented on. Tho following were the stalls and stall holders: Far.ey work, Mrs Tiideinann and Miss King: jumble, Mrs Standi-ii and Mrs. Simmons; produce, Mrs. Stuart, Miss 11. Guildford, and Miss , 0. Pater.-en; lollie. Miss M. Patersoa and ! Misses Grace and Kdna lble; fish pond, ' Mrs. Maewor, Miss Officer and Miss Pre?-. All the ladies worked very hard : for the suceefs of their stalls, and their j oiler;s were crowned with suet'Cns. Misses i Myrtle Guildford, Mary Stuart and < ti'ssie Xeibon did good work with the ' tale of button holes.

1 Mr. ('utliehi, assisted by Mr. Ho™, of I Ingle wood, auctioned the gifts. Bidding j was very brisk and much merriment was ' caused.'
