THE SUBMARINE CAMPAIGN.
DIABOLICAL HUN MURDER. A CAPTURED CREW DELIBERATE* DROWNED. Received Aug. 5, 5.6 pjn. s London, Aug. 4. A crime of unparalleled ferocity, concerning the deliobrata murder of thirtyeight of the crew of the "Belgian iPrince, has been revealed: by three survivors, whp, after fearful sufferings, have landed. When "200 miles from land on Tuesday, tho Belgian Prince saw a torpedo approaching, ft exploded, and the vessel took <» a heavy list. The crew took to the boats, and the submarine approached and destroyed the wireless installation by shell fire, ordering the boat# alongside. Captain Hassan was taken into the submarine, and the fortyone others were mustered <» th« submarine's ds«k. The Germans took the lifebelts from all except eight, and the outer clothing from all. They also smashed the boat with- axes and took the oars below.- The submariners then closed hatches, leaving the crew on the deck, Wfeeo the submarine had gone two miles a cry was raised that she was sinking. Many jumped overboard, the others being immediately drowned as the submarine submerged.
