THE MART.
HIGH SCHOOL BOYS' DAY. OVER £2OO NETTED. The boys of the New Plymouth Htei School had charge of the Mart on Saturday, and, with the assistance of a number of ladies and other friends, ran it with a zealous vigor that was rewarded with a huge success. All day long business was extremely brisk, and early in the day it became evident that the receipts would total a ' conaiderftblo amount., but it was scarcely anticipated that so handsome a sum as, roughly, £2OO would be reached. This proved t# be the case, however, details of th# takings, exclusive of shillings and p«n«», which will increase the total, being at. follows:—Butcher's shop, £sl, donations and produce £94, shooting gallery £5, sheep weight guessing £5, sale «f flowers £3O, parcels £6; total £2OO. They desire to thank all who helped in their laudable and well-directed efforts. especially the ladies, Messrs Openshaw and Nolan (who assisted in tto butcher's shop), and Messrs Lovell, Jioxey and Goss (for the use of their motor cars throughout the busy day).
