GENERAL RATES, 1917-18. pUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that in pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by The Rating Act, 1908, and the amendments thereto, and The Counties Act, 190S, and the amendments thereto, it is the intention of the Council of the County of Egmont, at the ordinary monthly meeting to be held at the County Office, Opunake, on Tuesday, the 14th day of August, 1917, to make and levy the following general rates on the Capital Value of all ratebale property within the respective ridings of the County, for the period of twelve months, from the first day of April, 1917, to the thirty-first day of March, 1918, namely: Oeo Riding (outlying district), one penny halfpenny in the £. Rabotu Riding, one penny and one farthing in the £. Opunake Riding, one penny and one farthing in the £. And that such rates shall be due and payable in one sum at the County Office, Opunake, on the first day of September, 1917, to the County Clerk and Rate Collector.
