N.Z. LOAN AND M.A. CO., LTD. The Xew Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd (Hawera branch) report as follows: Our Opmiake sale was held on July 16. There was a small yarding, comprising all cattle. Prices were: Forward cows £9 10s to £l'2 lis, backward sorts £7 to £B, bulls .£l2 14s to £l3 os, yearling heifers £3 Bs. At Waverley saleyards on Tuesday, duly 17, we held a very successful sale of dairy stock on account of Messrs. Campbell and Sons. Waverley. Prices were: Conditioned early calvers £ls to £•2O, later calvejs £l2 to £H. backward sorts £9 to £ll. The herd of 1 (K) odd were in good condition, the line averaging £l3 Ms. The heifers, which .were a really good line, realised £7 to £lO 10s.
Ob Wednesday, July IS, at Hawera, V/e soTd on account of Mr. C. Coodson his herd of 30 cows. Price's were: Early calvers £L3to £ls 10s, late ealvers £0 to £l2, 1 bull £ll lis. The line averaged £l3 2s 64 On July 19 we held a sale on account of Mr. John May, Elfchain. There was a large attendance and a keen demand. Good conditioned calvers £lfi to £-23, later calvers (in good condition) £l4 to £IG, backward sorts £S to £ll, springing heifers £5 lis.
