THE EMPIRE.
"ALADDIN FROM BROADWAY." 'Edith Storey and Antonio Loreno at (lie head of a strong ca*t in a clever and absolutely original Creator Vitagrardi film romance —tl:at is a strong recommendation for "Aladdin from TJroadway," screening to-night and tomorrow night at the Umpire. The sparkling and (intensely interesting story gives Edith .Storey every opportunity to display her sweet tomboyish charm, and in the Eastern wedding scenes, when she persists in peeping to see her handsome bridegroom, she is truly fascinating. Antonio Moreno, as the young American who proceeds to L'astern lands to settle a wager and return with a pretty wife, is full of virile energy and dash, arid contrives to look handsome in whatever costume. The desert scenes are wonderfully convincing, and the Greater Vitagraph Company bids fair to eclipse all makers of pictures in the matter of Mipcrb photography. The action of the story is rapid, iiilting from New York to Damascus, and there aiVplcntv of thrills and plenty of moments .when the hero's life hangs in the balance. The supports include the latest Gaumont ijraphic and a Keystone comedy, "lilack Lye's and Blue," a '2oooft. film with a laugh to the foot.
