DRIVING OUT THE GERMANS, Received July 26, 2.10 p.m. ' London, July 25. East Africa official: The action at Narongombe on the 19th took place in difficult and hilly bush country. The enemy's losses were heavy. They were driven out of all their positions. The main body retreated towards Mbemkura Valley, and a small detaehment retreated south-westerly. A small German column in the northern area was reported on the twentieth upon the north shore of Lake Manjara, westward of Arusha. . A column from Sodgca on the 21st maße contact with the retreating enemy 28 miles southward of Mahenge, we pursuing to Portuguese East Africa, the enemy detachments from southern Nyassaland hastily retreating towards the Rovuma river.
