NEXT SEASON'S WOOL CLIP.
KEQUIRED BY IMPERIAL AUTHORTTIES. PORTION MAY SEMAIN QUESTION OP INCREASED COLD STORAGE, (By Telegraph.-Our Parliamentary Correspondent). Wellington, Lost Night. Air. Massey announced in the House to-day that the Imperial authorities had informed him of their intention to purchase the whole of New Zealand's wool clip for next season, on similar term* to those arranged for last season The price would be the same; hut the conditions which had been on the -whole wry satisfactory, might be improved in some respects. The Prime Minister added the* there was a very important qualification, the seriousness of which was appreciated by the House. ' ( The Imperial Government's statement regarding shipping pijospeets in relation to the product that does not require in.-; sulated space, gave point to a statement made in answer to a question by the Minister for Agriculture: "The question of providing increasing freezing space for storage purposes in New Zealand has been before the Government for some weeks," he said. The Efficiency Board lias made a recommendation on, the subject, and other reports hov» been received. An acrroement has been mad* to-day with the Wellington Harjbjr. Board to provide cold storage for ip: additional 45,000 or" 50,000 oratefc «f, cheese. Tho Prime Minister has convened a conference of representatives of freezing factories which have plant and facilities to provide cold storage, to consider tho whole position.
