SUCCESSFUL BRITISH RAIDS.
ENEMY OPBRATHXSB* REPULSED. Received July 22, 5.5 p.m. London, July 21. Sir Douglas Haig reports: We raided last night Greenland Hill, northward of Roeux. Tito garrison hurriedly, with-, drew on our approach. We also successfully carried out a raid south-westward of La Bassoe and southward of Armentieres, and the German- positions were entered on a wide front. We repulsed raiders northward of Havricourt wood, and southward of Armentieres. SUCCESSFUL AIR RAIDS! [ Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assoc, and Reuter. Received July 22, H. 50 pjn. London, July 22. Sir Douglas Haig reports: There is great activity by the enemy's artillery at the Lombartzyde sector. Ous aeroplanes successfully bombed four aerodromes and an important railway junction, where a large explosion was caused.
