THE SUBMARINE CAMPAIGN.
MERCHANTMAN SINKS U-BOAT. Received July 20, 5.5 p.m. Vancouver, July 19. The crew of the steamer Angiers has arrived from an Atlantic port. She is confident that she sank a submarine while rescuing the crew of the torpedoed American tanker Archlbold. GERMAN SUBMARINE SUNK. Received July 20, 8.30 p.m. Petrograd, July 19. A German submarine in the Baltic fired all her torpedoes at the Russian destmyer Lovkyvrief, but missed. The destroyer then dropped bombs and sank the submarine, all the crew being drowned.
