A London cable states that amongst the last list of honors appears the name of Arthur Asquith, son of the exl'lcij'ier, who receives a bar to his Military Cross and the D.S.O. for conspicuous gallantry and determination and contempt of danger in attacking and clearing a village, when he personally captured ten of the enemy. On Thursday evening the residents of Franl-ieigh Park held a social gathering to farewell 'Private Leslie Newell, who volunteered for active service on attaining military age and is now spending his final leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jfewell, of Frankleigh Park. During the evening Mr. \V, A. Ballantyne presented Private Newell, on behalf of the residents, with a wristlet watch, wishing him Godspeed and a safe return. Hon.
