BENNETT HAS received instructions from Mr. John Shield to sell bv auction at at Homestead, Slotfold Farm, Whenuakura, as above, the whole of his herd of choice dairy stock and plant as under:— G5 dairy cows, 2nd, 3rd and 4th calvers 10 2-year heifers 3 brood sows, close to farrowing 4 store pigs 1 bay mare, rising 4 years, out of dam by Silver Flood 1 brown mare, rising 4 years, Glenullan-Xgatata mare. . I draught gelding, 3 years 1 Simplex milking outfit, nearly new, milk cans and waggon, Booth McDonald lime and manure spreader, MasseyIlarris mowing machine, in good order, hay sweeps, Mas-sey-Harris hay rake, turnip i-'.itter, dehorner, 300-gal. tank, quantity potatoes.. NOTE—This herd is recognised as the best in the Wlienuakura district, the test being one of the highest of those supplying the factory. The owner has been building the herd up for the last twenty years, and has always used first-class stock. Purchasers may allow any stock purchased to remain on the tarm for a reasonable time to suit their convenience. Buyers requiring financiil assistance may arrange for same with the auctioneer. Sale at 1 o'clock. Luncheon Provided. The above is a young herd in good condition, and consists mainly of good 1 grade Jerseys, and has a fine record tor last two seasons. The test was from 4.0 to 7.0. Some of these cows will be in before the sale. These cows have been personally inspected by our agent, and can be thoroughly recommended.
