EVERYBODY'S.
TWO FOX FEATURES TO-NIGIIT. A complete "Fox" programme will lie presented to-night and to-morrow at Everybody's. "A Tortured Heart" is the title of a five-reel drama which tells the story of the evils of idle gossip. The noted film beauty and favorite actress, Miss Virginia Pearson, is starred in this film and scores a Wg success. The plot of the .play tells of the Rev. Loriinore who finds a foundling on the steps of the church. The townsfolk scorn his interest in the child iwho grows up to be a charming young woman. Tn the rectory parlour the spinsters of the little town assemiblc to see the baby. About the only one who is really interested in the pretty child is Lucille Darrell (Miss Penson) a wealthy unmarried woman of the community. From this point the story unfolds its tale of the evils of gossip, uneharitableness and all that these unwholesome qualities bring in "heart torture." Stuart Holmes in his villainous part as Leon Muller, does his 'best to bring suffering to the characters and his power of evil seems at first greater than the kindly parson's power for good. Altogether "A Tortured Heart" is a story of intense gripping power that holds the onlooker spellbound right until the last foot of the film. The second Fox feature is "The Brainstorm," a two-reel comedy starring the entire strength of the brilliant band of Fox comedians, which left such a favorable impression here last week, There is also a delightful scenic film included on the list." Seats may be reserved at Collier's.
