A RICH HAUL CAPTURE OF GERMAN SHIPS. DETAILS OIF LOSSES. London, July 17. British destroyers have captured four German steamers in the North Sea. Reecived July 19, 1.30 a.m. London, July 18. The German prizes constitute rich captures of trim, serviceable craft, ivith valuable cargoes of coke, coal, and provisions. None of the 'British ships "were damaged. It is believed that 17 German vessels and two convoys left Rotterdam for 'Denmark at night. Twenty torpedo boats and destroyers surprised the second convoy. In addition to four that were captured, it is understood tha.t four were sunk and two driven ashore, while one raji ashore. Three escaped aid three returned to Holland. Some of the casualties were sent to hospital. THE STRANDED VESSELS, Received July 19, 1.30 a.m. Amsterdam, July 18. German ships stranded on the Dutch coast were the Magdalen, Adliunenthal, and Lavinia from Hamburg, and the Heidelberg from Bremen. Lifeboats brought ashore two dead Germans and a number of 'wounded. A SHIP ON FIRE. Received July 18, 8 p.m. Rangoon, July 17. Passengers by the steamer Cliirkf state that the vessel caught fire south of Gopalpare. All the Europeans were saved. There was a panic among the deck passengers, and many jumped overboard and were drowned. The Chirka was beached, the after-part being destroyed.
