THE VANGUARD BLOWN UP. » NEABLY ALL ABOARD PERISH. London, July 13. The High Commissioner reports under The Admiralty reports that H.M.S. Vanguard was blown up on Monday as . the result of an internal explosion. Nearly all aboard perished. Vancouver, July 13. The British battleship Vanguard was blown up and sunk. THE OFFICIAL REPORT. [The Vanguard iras a 'battleship of 1P,450 tons, built in 1010. She had a complement of 724 men, and carried ten I2ln. guns. Her speed was *2l knots.] A TRANSPORT SUNK. THE OFFICIAL REPORT. Aus. and N.Z. Cable and Reuter. Received July 15, 11.5 p.m. Loudon, July 15. The Admiralty reports that the transport Armadale, with new troops aboard, was torpedoed and sunk. Six soldiers, one passenger, and four of the crew are missing.
