Present indications aic for freshening easterly winds northwards of Kawhia and East Cape, and variable breezes, with moderate to strong northerlies prevailing shortly' elsewhere. Fair to cloudy weather is probable generally, but a change is likely soon in the northern districts. The barometer has a falling tendency in the north.
