ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

SERIOUS MOTOR ACCIDENT. Wellington, July 11. A serious accident occurred in the Taita gorge to a motor car carrying a party to the racesr The car skidded over the bank of 20 feet. Miss Austice and Miss Egan were injured and were removed to Treritham hospital. .Miss Austice was found to :be suffering from a fractured rib and injury to her lungs and shock. Her condition is considered ,grave. Miss Egan also had a rib fractured, tout was able to return to the city. The other occupants were unhurt.
