The twenty-second annual report of the Midhirst Co-operative Dairy Factory Company, Ltd., for the year- ending' May 31, M 7, to bo .presented to the shareholders' general meeting shows the following working results: Season l'!) 1516—Milk received 43,675.929, average test 4.0, lbs oif fat 1,787,384, butter made 2,099;(555, over-mn 17.4'7; 1916-17 —Milk received 40, average test 4.1,. lbs of l'at 1,075,554- (;croa.m 11,025), butter made 1.968,649, over-rnn M.73.. The balance-sheet shows a surplus of £10,563, 16s Sd. Owing to- the difficulties in seeming shipping space, we'have on hand at Moturoa, a large quantity of butter, -which has been taken into stock, on what is considered very safe lines,, the surplus shown, has been arrived at oil this basis—when this butter has been realised the bonus will be paid out—ok present figures on all fat September to May (inclusive); should be available. The" following notice of motion, by Mr. J.. Mcßride will be submitted':— "That" after paying all expenses of manufacturing and marketing of butter,, the balance remaining be .paid out ill full on butter-fat."
