The winter wheat of Iri)lT is estimated to yield 402,000,000 bushels, against 482,000,000 in 1!)10. The spring yield is estimated at 276,000,000, as compared with 158,000,000 bushels last year. N.Z. LOAN AND MERCANTILE CO'S REPORT. On July 2 we held a clearing sale of dairy stock on account of Mr. A. E. Ruseoe, Waverley. The herd of about 3S averaged £ll 6s. Prices were: Bulls up to 20!gns, good conditioned early oalvers £l3 15s to £l6 10s, later calvers £8 10s to £lO 16s. At Auroa on Monday, we held a clearing sale on account of Mr. IP. Duggan. Best dairy tows sold at from £l4 10s to £lB, others £lO to £l4, weaner heifers £5 4s, horses £11) 10s to £29. Implements and sundries sold well. On Tuesday last, at Manaia, we held a successful clearing sale of furniture on account of Mr. S. A. Johnston. At Fraser road. Haw era, on Tuesday we held a clearing sale on account of Messrs Park and Rae. The best dairy cows sold at from £l4 to £ 1 1!) 10s, and £lO to £l3 10s, horses £l2 to £27, store pigs £8 3s to £3, weane l ' pigs 2.1 s. Implements, etc., sold at late rates. On Thursday we held a clearing sain at Matiipu of Messrs Bosson Bros.' dairy cows, etc. There was a good attendance of buyers. At Glover road yard, T-Tanvera, on Friday, we held a clearing sale of Mr. P. Bremer's pedisn'e Ayrshire cows. There was a good attendance of buyers, but competition was not too keen. The cows sold at from 10 guineas to 2H guiners, heifers 7i guineas to 14 guineas, grade cows £lO 10s to £l7 10s.
