SECOND DIVISION LEAGUE.
There were over 100 present at the meeting of the Second Division League at Waitara last .evening, when addresses were given by Messrs J. McLeod, T. C. List, A. C. Downes, and J. Clarke. The various speakers were given an attentive hearing, and at the conclusion were accorded a hearty vote of thanks, A meeting to form a branch at Eitharn is to held this evening. Now ■Plymouth speakers have been invited to attend and help in forming the League. A mass meeting is to he held at Hawera on Friday evening, when, in addition to local speakers, members of the New Plymouth branch will give addresses. On Saturday evening a public meeting is to he held at Manaia with the object of forming a branch, and New Plymouth representatives have been asked to attend and assist in its formation. After this week there will he branches established in .practically every centre 'in' Taranaki. Next week delegates from each branch 'will proceed to Wellington and take part in the Dominion Second Division Convention, which will later march in a 'body to Parliament and lay before members the demands of the League.
