FINAL CALL.
(To the Editor.) Sir,—-In your issue of the 7Ui hist, appears a list of names of men called in previous ballots, and who have failed to parade for medical examination. Amongst the names appears that of P. li. Williamson. To my certain knowledge this young fellow, on attaining his twentieth birthday, enlisted in and left New Zealand with the 26th Reinforcements. It would seem that on leaving New Plymouth, some twelve months ago, Williamson neglected to notify the proper authorities of his change of address, and when his name appeared in the ballot he was actually on his way to the front. Therefore, the F.H.W. of this final call list and F.HiW. of Raurimu, volunteer and member of the 20th Reinforcements, are one and the same. Having known this lad from (birth, I hasten to remove any stigma which may attach to his name as a deserter.— I am, etc., IS. VICEERS.
