Tie death is announced of Mr. Peter .Elmslie, of Waverley, at the age of Tfi. Mr. 0. E. Flygcr, of Eltham, lias boon created, a Justice of the Peace. Mr. W. H. Paul, secretary of the Waikato Winter Show, is on a vißit to Itawora. A Wanganui telegram announces the death of John C. Brechin, Wangimui's oldest rc.-ident, aged 95 years. Mrs. M. Martin, of Tarurutangi, has received advice that her son, Private 11. C 4. Martin, was wounded severely on Juno 19, and has been admitted to hospital. . The latest list of casualties includes the name of Second-Lieutenant E. L. Malone, eldest son of the late Colonel Malone. This is the! second time Lieutenant Malone has been wounded. Sergeant-Major J. H.
