The herd, including eleven pedigree Jersey eoivs and heifers met keen com.ptition, and we 'have to report a successful sale. We quote: Pedigree cows llgns to 22|gns, pediiree heifers 14 l-4guns to 22£gns, pedigree bulls 3 1-4 gns to 7gns, grade cows, good sorts £l7 10s to £2l 10s, later calvers £l4. The dairy cowa averaged £l3 16s fid. On Friday, 20th, at Ha.wera yards, we held a sale on account of the estate of Wni. Duirs. Wliaikamara. The yarding comprised 130 dairy cows, in two herds, store cows, heifers in calf, yearling steers, and hefifers, and several good young Shorthorn and Holstein hulls. At Stratford yards on Tuesday there was a good muster of stock, and prices were the same as late sales. At Kaponga on Tuesday we held a clearing sale on account of Mr, Don Sellers. At Inglewood yards on Wednesday there was a fair yarding of cattle and sheep, and a good clearance was made at the hammer or afterwards. At Hawera on Wednesday we conducted a sale on account of Mr. A. T. Peters. Best eows sold at from £22 10s to £32, others £lO 10s to £2O, 74 cows averaging £il<s 17s 6d, in-calf 'heifers to £ls. . At Kaponga .on' Thursday we held--a clearing sale on account of Mr. A, AllImson of horses, etc., and report., it successful sale. Horses £4 to £l®: 10s, gigs £l4 to £l9. Sundries and household furniture sold well. At Whakamara on 'Thursday; at Mr. 0. F. Scott's clearing sale, there;-.was a small attendance of buyers.
