All Europe is preparing for another most severe war in ihe winter, entailing a serioiu food and fuel crisis. France is mobilising her males of 16 to 61. German publicists are reconciled to another winter, and expect political and internal troubles. America's sword is regarded as of little use before the summer of 191 S. THE IMPERIAL REVENUE. London, July 1. The revenue for the June quarter was '£HS.f)SO;2BC, an increase of 43 millions compared, with the last corresponding period. The most striking increase was in the excess profits duty, including the munitions levy. It is 35 millions in excess of the IftlC period, which v:as six millions. The amount is noiw 4>l millions. The expenditure chargeaMe against revenue is 071 millions. Received July 2. 10.45 p.m. London, July 2.
