FEEDING THE ENEMY. DEALTXG WITH NEUTRALS. Received July 2, L 1.35 p.m. Washington, June 2. An official statement, based on figures compiled in England, "hows that Germany Obtained from neutrals sufficient food to ration the entire German armies on the East front, and also sufficient fats to supply 7J million soldiers. Exports from the United Stales and neutrals made this possible. Efforts of neutrals to lighten the exports are expected to be drastic, owing t,. the threatened embargo, and it is believed this is causing a delay in imposing the actual embargo. UTILISING INTERNED SHIPS. Washington, July 1. President Wilson has ordered the Shipping Board to take over 87 interned German-owned ships, the total tonnage of which exceeds 300.000 tons. The toard is empowered to uso the interned vessels in any service, but it h believed that most will be used in the trans-Atlantic trade, alleviating the shortage of shipping. STRENGTHENING THE NAVY. "New York, July 1. he navy has almost doubled its personnel since the war, and requires less than *.5.000 men to reach the authorised strength of 150,000. EASIER SAID THAN* DONE. Sew York, July 1. Admiral Fiske declares that the Allies must go in after the German fleet before lack of oil tiss up the British dreadnoughts. The Germans could be nwamped in their own harbors and the war iron if a swarm of torpedo boats and aeroplanes accompanied the Allied fleet. COLORED TROOPS FOR THE REAR. New York, July 1.
