(3) What is the number of men drawn in the ballots up to the Twenty-ninth Reinforcements? (a) The total number of balloted men reported in camp (b) The total number of voluntary recruits reported in camp since the commencement of the balloting. (c) The total number of men classed as medically unfit. (d) The total number classed as fit . for home service only. (e) The total number exempted as -be- ] ing connected with essential indusdries. (f) The total number of clergy, laypreacliers and conscientious objectors exempted (g) The total number who have receiv- ! Ed exemption on grounds other ! than those mentioned above. ! (h) The total number of men who I have been passed as fit but have not reported in camp. ,' (i) The total number of men who have | failed 1o respond in any way to j i notification. CALL ON OUR MAN POWER. A pertinent question on the subject of New Zealand's fighting force was also ' put to the Defence Minister by Mr. Okey. For future reply, lie desires to know: (1) What number of battalions have been sent to the Old Country? (2) What reinforcements were promised to keep up the strength of these battalions? (3) What has been the wastage in death, I wounds and disease up to March 31 last? (4) What number of the surplus men sent from the reinforcements have been now joined into a further division? (5) Arc all these men being used for the purpose for which they were sent from N.Z.? (0) What was the total number of fit men in the Old Country at I the end of March last?
