. THE PROHIBITION FIGHT. Received July 1, 5.5 p.m. Washington, June 30, President Wilson has acted personally with a view to modify the prohibition fight. He told the Senate that the leaders had agreed to the proposal to stop the manufacture of foodstuffs into whiskey, but thought the manufacture of beer and wines should not be stopped.
