MAORI WOMAN ADMITTED TO PROBATION. By Telegraph—Press Association. Gisborne, Yesterday. At the Supreme Court, To ( Peatai, a native woman, pleaded guilty to forging orders aggregating £2024. The judge ordered the prisoner to come up for sentence when called upon, on condition that she is of good behaviour, and does not contract any debt without the consent of the agent of the Public Trustee for five years.
