Fears of a famine have been dissipated, as the Government has unloaded a large quantity of Queensland butter on the Sy3ney market, where an unsettled tone exists through the enormous stocks held in New Zealand, which are reported to be 250,000 boxes. New Zealand sellers are endeavoring to place butter here at Is per lb f.0.b., equalling Is 4d delivered, or a penny under the Government price. ANOTHER CONSCRIPTION REFER. ENDUM. Sydney, June 25.
