In connection with the above fund the Mayor has fonwawled the sum of £142 to the treasurer, London, and he wishes to thank all thoseyiyllo; assisted him in tUis' worthy object', especially the Red Cross- and.Women's..Patriotic Committee for so kindly donating one Saturday's takings at "The. Mart." Mrs. Dockrill and the St. John's Ambulance young tydjes sold the badges, which were a ; gift, |rom Messrs MoLood and Slade, to whom his thanks a,re also due. The winning number for the Roumanian Jund cake was 110, and won by Miss L. ft. Baker, Private Hospital. Several friends have kindly donated handsome gifts to the Mayoress for patriotic funds. Included in these is a ladies' fur coat presented by Mr and Mrs Auld. Permission has been granted by the Minister of Internal Affairs to use the gifts as prizes in an Art Union. Books of tickets can be obtained at the patriotic depot, St. Aubyn St.
