THE BENSLEY FUND.

The fund we opened on Monday In aid of the Bensley family, who lost their all by the whirlwind on Saturday, was further supported yesterday, and the fund now stands at £34 Kg Bd. Details of yesterday's donations ares—

In connection with the suggestion that articles of furniture, etc., be donated to the stranded family, Mr. Mcl*od (bandmaster), has asked us to state that household and other articles can be temporarily stored in the band* room until such time as Mr. Bensley secures another, house. The Citizens* Band will jrivo their recital in aid of the Bensley Fund on Sunday afternoon, in the beautiful grounds of Mr. W. J. Honeyfield, at Moturoa. Afternoon tea will be dispensed by Mm. '■ Honeyflelif and a committee of 'ladles, to help to swell the fund, atid the house will be practically thrown 6p*n to the public. All that is wanted is • fine weather to complete the sueeess of this deserving effort.
