PIERROTS' £IOOO DAY.

The New Plymouth Pierrots met « the Soldiers' Club last night, Mr. E Brookman presiding over an attendance of twenty-four. •

It was resolved to hold a torch-light procession on Friday evening, 29th in-' stant, prior to the concert, and that th« Fire Brigade, Boy Scouts, returned soldiers, men on final leave, High SchoolCadets, be asked to' take part with the" Pierrots. The Pierrots have to acknowledge re ■ ccipt of the following donation from the Xo-Rubbing Laundry Help Co., Auckland: Fifteen packets envelopes and two I comb No-Rubbing, valued at £7 ss. The Mayoress (Mrs. Burgess) also received on behalf of the Pierrot* from the NoRubbing Laundry Help Co. the sum of £2 7s, bcign the proceeds of sales made at th show last Saturday. At a meeting of the Pierrots' raffles and parcels committees on Monday, reports were received of ■i the goods and orders promised by the townspeople. It was decided to call for the parcels on Thursday morning next, and persons who have promised these are asked to have them placed to ono side in readiness for the Pierrots' call on Thursday morning. The New Plymouth and Fitaroy Fire Brigades have consented to take part in the great procession which ,will be a feature of the proceedings.
