RACING DAYS.
THE CANTERBURY CURTAILMENT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. The district committee specially appointed by the Racing Conference to consider tho reduction of racing days in the Canterbury district met to-day. Tho following. clubs voluntarily surrendered their days of racing Cheviot, Christchurch Hunt, and Brack'enfleld Hunt. The following curtailments were agreed to With regard to the undermentioned clubs: —Ashburton County Racing Club, one day; Canterbury Jockey Club, two days; GeTaldine, one day; Hororata, one day; Marlborough Racfng Club, one day; Mqthvcn, one day; South Canterbury Jockey Club, one day. POSITION IN WELLINGTON. Wellington, Last Night. The reduction in the number of days of racing in the Wellington district was much discussed in sporting circles today. It is anticipated that if the present scheme is adhered to it will mean that the Wellington Racing Club will cut one day oil' the Cup meeting, and abolish two days of the autumn meeting.
