GERMANY'S PEACE TRAP.
THE STOCKHOLM CONFERENCE. London, June 3. Tn its comment upon the Stockholm Socialist Conference The Times says:— "It is important to understand that tl)e Stockholm Conference, which was originally designed as a German peacetrap, has teen transformed into a conference, \mder the auspices of the Russian Council of Workmen and Soldiers' Delegates. English and French Laborites have considered, it in this new aspect. Since the Allies' war aims will bear the fullest publicity, there is an evident advantage in countering German Imperial and Socialist intrigues by frank statements of the reasons which led the 2'rcat bulk of English and French Socialists and Laborites whole-heartedly to support tlio war. "The. Stockholm Conference may conceivably help to convince the German masses of their Government's criminal work. At worst it can but demonstrate I the gulf dividing the Allies' war aims from the enemy's. The Allied nations, including millions of workers who have freely shed their oivn blood, will not brook any attempt to palaver away the fruits of their sacrifices to reach a German peace under the cover of delusive formulas."-
