EVERYBODY'S.
'•THROWN TO THE LIONS." Children under the age of IS years will not Ibe admitted to "Everybody's" Theatre to-night or to-morrow night during the screening of Mary Fuller's latest masterpiece, "Thrown to the 'Lions." This film, which is by the popular "Blue Bird Company," although being passed by the censor, treats on a subject that the young mind would not quite understand, hence - the management's decision to admit adults only. "Thrown to tho Lions" is a five-reel film version of Wallace Irwin's famous story of the same name, and it has been produced in lavish style. Mary Fuller as the sweet, innocent girl, alone in the world, who is "thrown to the lions" — in other words thrown upon her own resources—and pitilessly exposed to all the temptations and pitfalls, of a wicked city, has much scope for her histronic ability. Being a member of the chorus of a musical show that has failed she finds it bard to get further employment and is at last forced, under the press of circumstances, to accept a. position in a questionable all-night cafe. Hero her troubles start, and after being practically torn to pieces by the human lions of civilisation she is left, a stranded wreck, on the shore of life's ocean. Although there is depicted in this sto'rv much badness and vice in some of its worst forms, the moral of the play is strong and forceful, and cannot but do good and act as a lasting lesson to those who witness it. "Thrown to the Lions" will be shown to-night and to-morrow night only at "Everybody's."
