EMPLOYERS' FEDERATION. j SECOND DIVISION AND TRAINING CAMPS. v<; ' ■ Wellington, Last Night, j / At a jneeting of the Advisory Board of the New Zealand Employers' Federa- ! tion the following motions were adopted: That a sub-committce be set up, consisting. of .the president and secretary, v to confer with representatives 'of\ the Second Division League, also to interview Surgeon-General Henderson and other officials with the object of formulating some practicable scheme .which 'Will result in s» little dislocation of business as possible, for reference to district . 'associations, and subject to their approval, to make representations to the Government in connection with the matter. That this meeting considers steps should be taken to discontinue the holding of territorial camps and training during the period of the war, and that strong representations he made to the Minister of Defence in this connection. WAR PENSIONS BOARD. LAST WEEK'S OPERATIONS. "Wellington, Last Night. During last week the War Pensions Board dealt with 295 new claims and 114 renewals, 293 pensions of all annual value of £1.9,303 being granted of -295 applications. Of the new claims 235 wen from soldiers and 60 from dependents. During the current financial year, April to June 10, 1322 pensions have -been granted, of the annual value of £55,619, the average being £64. NEW ZEALAND CHILDREN'S RELIEF FUND. : Wellington, Last Night. ; following on the appeal to the school children throughout New Zealand to show their pfactical sympathy with the victims of the German air raid in the East- End of London, the Wellington Education Board has decided that children attending the schools in the district be afforded ati opportunity of. voluntarily contributing a, penny or more to the laid for tfce London sufferersCESSATION OF 'VOLUNTARY' RECRUITING. .
