.VEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. The Monthly St. Andrew's Cross medal match was played at the Waiwakaiho links on Thursday. The best cardds were as follows: J. Austin .....v 94 19 75 P. T. McQuade 95 13 82 F. Honari .. 103 20 83 CORONATION MEDAL MATCH. The returns for the Home Links Coronation Medal Match, held under the auspices of the New Zealand Ladies' Golf Association, have just been completed, the following being the three best scores: Score. Par. Result. Miss Helmore, Christclnireh 97-18-79 79 Square Mrs. Harper, Waipukurau 100-15-85 84 1 over Miss Turton, Miramar, 99-14-85 83 2 over \ Mrs. Glenn, of New Plymouth, is tenth on the list, her score being 103-12-91, S2, 9 over. The previous winners of this challeneg trophy have been Miss Stephenson, New Plymouth; Mrs. Winterbourne, Otaki; Mrs. Murphy, Hutt; Miss S. Payton, Auckland; Mrs. O'Callaghan, Timaru; Miss Petrie, Hokitika, after a tie with Miss Bayly, Maungakiekie; Miss Budd, Timaru; and Miss G.ambrill, Miramar. There has been only one tie in the series of matches, and only one club, Timaru, has held the trophy twice. It has been unanimously agreed, on a vote by the president, vice-presi-dents and clubs forming the Ladies' Golf [Tnion, to definitely postpone the chum. pionship meeting till after the conclusion of the war. THE STANDISH CUP. The third round of the Standish Cup competition was played on the New Plymouth 'Club's links on Saturday. Both games proved very close, only being won by a very narrow margin. In one game two extra holes had to be played. Results:— R. McQuade beat Corrigan 1 up. F. S. Johns beat Newenham, 1 up, on the 20th hole. Tho two winners will meet to cjecide the Saturday championship, and the winner will then play W. H. Wood, 'winner of the Thursday competition, to decide who is to hold the Cup. On Saturday next a mixed foursomes will be played, players to choose their own partners and opponents. Entries are to be. given to the club secretary or captain not later than Friday.
