I MONTHLY MEETING. , The monthly meeting of the New fly. mouth Harbor Board wa held yesterday. Present: Messrs Newton King (chairman), C. McGuinness, J. S. Connett, I. Maxwell, C. E. Bellringer, E. Dockrill, J. McCluggage, D. J. Hughes, and C. A. Wilkinson, M.P. SUPERINTENDENT'S REPORT. The superintendent of works (Mr, P. Henderson) reported as follows:--The Paritutu dredged with buckets on 26 days, the net time being 227 hours, and removed a total quantity of 16,200 tons of spoil in 33 loads, of which 14 loads, including 85 boulders, were taken from the outer basin cut in 101 hourfc, and 24 loads were taken from the western side of the wharf in 128 hours. Dredging at the outer basin cut has been dif-' flcult throughout the month, and* there are no present indications 6f it becoming any easier. The Thomas Sing dredged on 21 days, and removed a to* tal quantity .of 7820 tons In 88 loads, of which 14 were lifted with the Priestman bucket from the berths at 'the wharf, and one day was occupied in" lifting 22 boulders for the Paritutu. General works include the fixing and housing of the automatic fide gauge; wharf repairs and repairs to the Pnritutu's buckets. Tiie diver was engaged on 20 j days removing boulders and btosthtf;. The report mentioned,.inter alia, -that; 6800 tons of spoil had been droned hi-1 tween March 12 and 20, before the dredge went to Wellington, which had not been previously reported. The Teport was adopted^ HARBORMASTER'S RETORT. The 'harhormastetr s'(Captain Wail w) reported that during the five weeks ending June 8, 26 vessels of an aggregate tonnage of 27,106 tons entered the pari the imports amounting to 8534 tons, aha the exports to lSSttoris, a total of 10 r 071 tons. ~ The report was adopted. GENERAL. The chairman stated that the tarimitteo appointed to report oil the sheds at the wharf had been ttnable to get together, a«d so nothing had teii done. The committee, however, Would endeavor to have their report ready for a spetial meeting of the board which it Was prdproposed to hold on Tuesday, the 20th instant. ' .
