THE EMPIRE.
MARY PICKFORD IN A DELICATELY . . DELIGHTFUL PICTURE.
Mary 'Pickford has .appeared on several occasions this year at the Empire in recent Paramount pictures, but none of her portrayals equal the beauty and fascination of "The Girl of Yesterday," screened at the Empire last evening. The winsome little lady is set in a part that suits her to life, with many closeup scenes of her beautiful head of curls. There are many dashes of comedy that rock the audience, administered in that quaint manner of which Mary appears to hold "exclusive rights." There are also scenes that start the tears, and tlie little "Girl of Yesterday" grips and holds the hearts of the audience either in comedy or pathos. Mary has never appeared to better advantage than in the sweetly delightful picture which will be screened for the last time to-night.
