SEPARATION ALLOWANCES.
t By Telegraph.—Press Association, Wellington, Last Night.' In referenee to the separation allowance of J s per day payable to widowed mothers by members of the New Zealand Expeditionary Fores it has been approved that the present, regulation* under which the payment of widowed, mothers' separation allowance may be made, will in future be proportionately relaxed as regards qualification of the minimum allotment of 3s per day of •deferred pay in partioular cases, where a soldier establishes that he is unable io allot the full amount of hia deferred pay. Each me will be 4«alt with on its merits, and allowance granted, provided the wether's income from otjier sources does not exceed 7s a week. The children's allowance is to be paid to the age of twenty-one years to a Boldier'» children suffering mental or physioal infirmity necessitating special treatment or training in an institution where facilities for such treatment or trailing are provided.
