By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Cold and stormy weather condition* prevailed with much rain northward of Farewell Spit, Kaikoura, and heavy "floods occurred on the east coast of the North Island. South-easterly galeß predominated. The centre of the cyclonic disturbance .is now passing north of Auckland. ' Present indications are for high and squally south-easterly winds in and northwards of Cook 'Strait, and strong north-easterly elsewhere. Expect dull and stormy weather; rain probable generally. The barometer is rising soon temporarily in the north, but falling in the south.
